Question #1: Please clarify what is considered “Non-Products Mark Up” of Non-Pricer product purchased through this contract? Are you referring to specials that may have to be used or other entirely different manufactures?
Response: The intent is to identify a mark-up for parts and pieces which are not included in primary manufacturer’s product price manual. These may be accessories or components from a 3rd party.
Clarification #1: “Power/Data at Top” as referenced in “Pricing Exercise Room A, B, C, and D” is intended to identify proposer’s standard table top power/data cubby, complete with wire management, adapters and receptacles as necessary for the County to bring power and communication wiring to the underside of this device. Proposer may provide cut sheets for these components, if they feel it is necessary to clarify intent.
Question #2: Please confirm Pricing Exercise Room C work surface is to be high pressure laminate.
Response: Confirmed.
Question #3: Please confirm Pricing Exercise storage pieces require a lock.
Response: Confirmed.
Question #4: Please identify the closest source of power for table T2 in Pricing Exercise Room B.
Response: Power/data are located in floor box adjacent to table leg.
Question #5: In Pricing Exercise Room C, is a is a 66 ½” H Combo Tower acceptable for inclusion in group S3?
Response: If manufacture does not carry a 72” unit, a 66” may be substituted. Proposer shall provide backup documentation as necessary and shall supply the balance of items included in Block S3.
Question #6: In Pricing Exercise D2 please clarify if all panels are to be powered with a dual harness or, would a pass-through harness be acceptable. Please confirm power requirements in the raceway, location of power source, amperage, and required receptacle count.
Response: The design intent is for the work station to receive power and data cabling and distribute them internally up to the work surface. Proposer shall include all internal harnesses, extensions, receptacles, and trim as required to conform with basis of design (identified on this exhibit). Each work station shall contain 2 power/data receptacles. Power and data infeed shall be assumed to be at the base of the wall adjacent to the furniture system, and power will be 20 Amps. Proposer may provide cut sheets for these components, if they feel it is necessary to clarify intent.
Question #7: In Pricing Exercise D2 components PS1 would a 12” or 18” glass stacker be acceptable.
Response: Either a 12” or 18” glass stacker would be acceptable. Proposer shall identify what they are providing if it varies form 15”.
Question #8: Confirm that each location will have a standard loading dock.
Response: The majority of Lake County Facilities do NOT have a standard loading dock. Proposer shall make accommodations to allow for the efficient and effective unloading of product on site.
Question 9: Confirm that all locations will have a freight or passenger elevator and will not require a stair carry.
Response: Confirmed.
Question 10: Confirm delivery hours from 7:00AM to 3:30 PM.
Response: Confirmed.
Question 11: Can we use a 53’ trailer to deliver or are there certain limitations to what the dock allows?
Response: Please see the response to question #8.
Question 12: When the County calls for prevailing wage does it mean Union labor?
Response: Lake County requires prevailing wage rates be paid for all labor on its construction projects. In addition, Lake County has recently approved a Responsible Bidders Ordinance (RBO) which includes certain provisions required of all contractors performing work on construction projects; an apprenticeship program is one of these provisions. Proposers shall reference RBO affidavit attached to this RFP and ensure compliance prior to submitting a proposal to Lake County.
