Considering that the ammunition market is experiencing the greatest demand it has ever seen….

Q#1: Will Lake County accept substitutes for the practice rifle (XM193X) and practice pistol (FEDEAE9AP)?  Substitute items would be Winchester Q3131K and USA9MM
A: The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is willing to accept the following substitution:
Federal – LE223T1 – Tactical Bonded 223 REM. (5.556X45MM)
If this substitution does occur, we would require that the rifle ammunition be split to 100 cases of practice ammunition and 100 cases of duty ammunition. In your Bid response, please include pricing for both the initially requested ammunition item code in addition to the substitution above.

Q#2: Will Lake County accept delivery for specified items beyond the mentioned 90-day delivery limit?
A: In the event a vendor is unable to meet the 90-day delivery limit, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is willing to extend the limit to 180 days. Given the circumstances of the supply shortage, if the awarded vendor is unable to meet the 180 day delivery, then the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is willing to accommodate extended delivery times as long as a written notice is provided within 30 (thirty) days of placing the order with an estimated shipment date.
