Q. Is the County open to accept and consider any possible exceptions to the terms and conditions of the solicitation?

A. Lake County reserves the right to accept exceptions if they are not a material variance to the bid.  Per the Bid document page 3, “NOTE TO BIDDERS: Any and all exceptions to these specifications MUST be clearly and completely indicated on the bid sheet. Attach additional pages if necessary. Please be advised that any exceptions to these specifications may cause your bid to be disqualified.”

Q. Would the County be willing to remove the below MFN language in its entirety?

22. Most Favored Customer: The Contractor guarantees that the prices covered by this contract shall be the lowest prices offered to any customer for similar goods/services during the period of this contract. If the Contractor offers lower prices or new rate plans for similar goods/services to any other customer during the contract period, then these lower prices shall be offered to Lake County, and the contract shall be modified accordingly.

A. Lake County reserves the right to accept exceptions if they are not a material variance to the bid.  Please note all exceptions must be clearly indicated on the bid sheet. Attach additional pages if necessary.

Q. Under the Base Bid the quantities listed are 270 for the HeartSine AED and 270 for the Pediatric Pak.  Are these quantities over the life of the contract 2 years plus the three 1 year extensions, or are you looking for one time large quantity orders.

A. These would be the quantities the County would initially purchase if the County chose to award to the base bid.  Under General Terms and Conditions 11, Lake County intends to award this bid to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the base bid or alternate whichever is in the best interest of the County.

Q. If there will be one time orders do you have an idea of the quantities of these orders, how many AED’s you would need for each order?

A. If there should be a one-time order the quantity would be 270.  Again, per General Terms and Conditions 11, Lake County intends to award this bid to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the base bid or alternate whichever is in the best interest of the County.
