Question: Are any of the borings for the existing geo report within 30’ of the proposed tower sites? If so, please identify which ones.
Response: SMC Soil borings B-2 and B-1, and GEI borings 214 and 206 are most proximate to the two towers, it is uncertain if these are within 30’.
Question: Which party will purchase the towers and foundation design, Lake County or bid winner?
Response: The bidder is to propose a complete project price to Lake County, this includes the towers and all required infrastructure (including the foundations). Please refer to Exhibit 3, Exhibit C and Exhibit D.
Question: Please share the dimensions and type of “protective fencing” requested for the two tower compounds.
Response: Bidder shall provide fencing around their proposed design for the radio towers per the requirements of Exhibit 3, Exhibit C and Exhibit D.
Question: Please detail any additional conduit or utility runs not covered in the pre-submittal meeting or ones that are not in the building GC’s scope.
Response: Bidder shall Reference Exhibit C and Exhibit D for intended conduit/utility connection pathways to each tower. Bidder shall also reference Exhibit B ROC Construction Drawings (Part 5) Plan Sheet E0.02 – conduits to the 911 tower are provided by GC, ice bridge to the AuxCom Tower is provided by this bidder.
Question: Will Lake County accept a “cost plus” bid in which material charges would be passed through?
Response: No.

Question: Do you need any fencing or landscaping for this project?
Response: Fencing is required around each of the two towers. The awarded bidder will be required to restore landscaping within and immediately adjacent to the fence line boundaries.
