Question: I wanted to reach out and ask for the specific $200,000 allowance to be defined? Will this amount be above and beyond our bid amount for the project?
Response: The owner allowance is a required line. This is a required owner directed contingency line to be added to the bidders proposed price for the solicited scope of work.

Question: Would it be possible to set up a site visit for our operations at mid-day tomorrow? Around 1 pm. This would be a short visit and would allow him to do a walk quick walk through. We are setting this up per the requirement of the RFP.
Response: “Yes, the bidder may visit the site project site Friday 7/7 at approximately 1pm. Please note a ground breaking ceremony is scheduled to occur at approximately 10AM and a visit while this is occurring will note be possible. The bidder shall plan to check in at the site construction trailer with Path Construction’s site superintendent – Tom Ryan. (847) 997-4513”

Response: “The $200,000 allowance is an unidentified amount for the owner’s exclusive use”.
Question: Could you please clarify the bonding requirements? On page 2 (shown below) it references “supply bonds”, but this is not noted in the general terms and conditions.
Response: Only performance and payment bonds are required. Supply was referencing the act of providing the documents to the County upon award.
