Questions submitted on November 7, 2014

Question 1:  Please clarify who is responsible for the equipment on site.

Response1:  A list of all County owned equipment was included as Exhibit E for the RFP document.  The successful Proposer shall be responsible for the basic maintenance and general care of any County owned equipment used for their operations.    At the conclusion of hte contract, the Proposer shall return to the County all equipment in the condition in which it was received.  Allowance will be made for any ordinary wear and tear.  Any additional equipment needed to complete operations shall be the responsiblity of the successful Proposer.

Question 2:  How are Juror Meals currently invoiced?

Response 2:  Invoices are submitted on a monthly basis directly to Court Administration for payment of the actual number of juror meals served for the prior month.

Question 3:  When does the new contract take place and what is the expected transition period?

Response 3:  Proposer shall indicate the ability to have all services transitioned and fully operational on February 2, 2015.  If this timeline cannot be met please propose a revised timeframe for consideration.

Question 4:  Are all vending locations needed?

Response 4: Vending services shall include, but is not limited to, maintaining and stocking of approximately 17 locations throughout Lake County.  If the Proposer wishes to decrease or increase the number and/or type of machine that should be identifed in the submitted proposal under the response to the scope of services.

Question 5:  Are all vending machines requirede to be ADA compliant?

Response 5:  Yes.

Question 6:  Is the signage in the cafe owned by the County?

Response 6:  It is the understanding that the hardware for the signage in the cafe will remain in place.  Any new graphics and/or signage shall be the responsilbity of the Proposer.

Question 7:  Who owns the coffee kiosk, coolers and other equipment in the lobby?

Response 7:  The County owns the counters with the prep sink and the open air cooler in the lobby for the coffee kiosk.

Question 8:  Can Lake County provide historical revenue for August 2011 through July 2013?

Response 8:  No.  Revenue for 2013 through 2014 serves as an annual average and is provided in Exhibit B of the RFP.

Question 9:  Please confirm that the Proposer will supply the POS

Response 9:  Yes.

Question 10:  How many more staff does the County plan to hire as a result of the expansion project?

Response 10: No additional staff is planned at this time.
