To bid on this project, Contractors shall be required provide a valid IDOT “Certificate of Eligibility” and obtain an approved LCDOT “Authorization to Bid”. The proposed project consists of improvements to the intersection of IL 59 and Grand Avenue/Washington Street including realignment and new traffic signals. Washington Street will be dead ended 550’ east of the intersection. Auxiliary left-turn lanes will be added to IL 59 and the southbound right-turn lane will be retained. The east leg of the intersection will be converted into an access road serving the existing businesses and providing access to the ComEd substation.
