Question:  Do Bird-X All Steel Spikes qualify as an approved equal and can they be used on this project?

Response:  Bird X All Steel Bird Deterrents as manufactured by Bird-X Inc of Chicago, IL are hereby added as an additional approved manufacturer for this project.   Contractor shall take care to properly prepare subsurface and utilize manufacturer’s recommended adhesive attachment.

Clarification:

Lake County will be accepting only electronic bid submissions for Invitation for Bid #20069 – Lake County Parking Garage Repair & Rehabilitation.

Please follow the steps below to upload your electronic Bid Submission:

1. Go to www.lakecountypurchasingportal.com
2. Click on the Bid Number:  20069
3. Click on register for this bid
4. Enter your username and password
5. Under the Submittals section you will be able to upload your bid submittal
   1. Click on the browse button
   2. Navigate your computer and select the appropriate file
      1. Multiple files can be uploaded, each file can be no more than 20 MB
   3. Click on save submittals
   4. Close the browser

Response:  The prospective bidder must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and meet the requirements in the responsible bidder affidavit.

Question:  What is the estimated price value for this project?

Response:  $1,200,000

Question:  When is the anticipated start date for construction?

Response:  July 2020.
